Lost is an Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning serial drama television series that follows the lives of a group of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, somewhere in the South Pacific. The show was created by J. J. Abrams and premiered on September 22, 2004. Since then, three seasons have aired and a fourth began on January 21, 2008. The show is produced by ABC Television Studios (formerly Touchstone Television), Bad Robot Productions and Grass Skirt Productions and airs on ABC in the U.S. The current executive producers are J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. Because of its ensemble cast and the cost of filming in Hawaii, the series is one of the most expensive on television.

Jack is nearly delirious from lack of sleep and struggles to overcome the haunting events that brought him to Australia and, subsequently, to the island. Meanwhile, Boone gets caught in a treacherous riptide trying to save a woman who went out swimming. A pregnant Claire's health takes a bad turn from lack of fluids, and a thief may have stolen the last bottles of water. Veronica Hamel guest-stars as Jack's mother, Margo. Also, Jack flashes back at 12 years old, to find himself on the playground in an altercation with a bully, who ultimately beats him up, and later learns a life lesson from his father.
